Faith for Exiles - Introduction

Sarah Hudson — Throughout this series, Faith for Exiles, we will turn our attention to equipping and encouraging the community through a deep dive into vocational discipleship and what it means to engage in counter cultural mission. As Christians, who bear the name of Christ, what does it look like to live every aspect of our lives declaring who Christ is? Not by our words, but through our lives.

As we dispel the myths about what it looks like to “make it” as a follower of Jesus, we will explore what it looks like to make God’s name holy in our everyday, ordinary lives. We will also look to see what being a Holy Priesthood looks like in our daily lives from Monday to Sunday.

The series will end by looking at Jesus' counter-cultural mission of discerningly seeking the peace and prosperity of the city. We will remember that life is about the big thing God is up to in the world and not one’s personal fulfilment.

Sarah starts this new series with an overview of the themes to be covered over the course of the next term.
